Art Walk

Did you know that on the first Wednesday evening of each month, Downtown Jacksonville sponsors an Art Walk, featuring many local business and artists?  We always have one of our small ensembles playing outside Casa Dora Italian Restaurant. Here is the December, 2009 group playing "We Three Kings".

Sousa Comes to Town

The October 25th, 2009 concert was co-sponsored by the Jacksonville Historical Society.  It  featured music from the Sousa era as well as representatives dressed in period costume.

Sousa"Just wanted to say how much I enjoyed the concert yesterday-I was one of the "Victorian Ladies" working with the Jacksonville Historical Society and I had a wonderful time, but I think your biggest fan is my two year old daughter, Vivien.  She danced and clapped to every song and she was so excited during "Stars and Stripes Forever" that she could hardly contain herself.  When we took her to the car yesterday and asked her if she was ready to go home she said "NO!  More MUSIC, More MUSIC!"  She is still talking about the "Music" today.  I have enclosed a few pictures-hope you have more outdoor events to come as this was just wonderful.  Thank You, Cherri Picard"
